Above: My thanks to the people of Chillagoe, a small outback marble mining community in Far North Queensland, for their warmth and generosity on the fundraiser Cabaret Night for the hospital in April this year. Above right : The wood-fired camp kitchen at Chillagoe provided the food for the night thanks to the tireless team of cooks. Thanks go to Endeavour Lodge of Freemasons, the Chillagoe Alliance and all the performers for such a great night raising $4,500 for an ambulance based Defibralator. Below Left: Debbie and Phil, owners of Innot Hot Springs Hotel, receiving a special ‘thank you’ certificate from Margaret Dorries for their continuing valuable help raising money for local charities. |
